Spring Challenge: Unicorn Magic Day

Today is Leap Day and it exists because of Unicorn Magic! So today's challenge is Unicorn Magic Day. I decided to use Sinful Colors Unicorn (quite fitting I think) I add CND Crimson Sparkle, Finger Paints Flecked, Motley, and Twisted, as well as a bit of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I guess what turned out is Unicorn Pee! :)

Couldn't capture the flakie goodness of this mani.

Here's the Trailer for the movie The Last Unicorn, a movie which scared me when I was little! (still might too!) Uuuunnniicooooorrrrnnn!

Spring Challenge: Your Favorite Spring Lilac

Here is my Spring Lilac. It is Color Club Fashion Addict from the Catwalk Queen Spring 2009 Collection. When I bought it the name was slightly familiar. And it's a pretty color. When I brought it home I did some searching and saw Scrangie's swatch on it. But then I also saw some other posts about a dud. I didn't know which one I had.

As you can see, mine has some holo. Not a ton like Scrangie's does but that could also be the weird angle I was at trying to get the photo. But even if it isn't super holo it's still a pretty color and finish, sort of suede-like! And sorry about the half in focus half blurry picture. Still trying to work out the new camera and it's settings. But in this picture you get the effect like some people do when they take a full picture out of focus. I just magically (and accidentally) did it in one photo! Ta-daa!

Princess Giveaway! -CLOSED

Another giveaway!? Just to let you know, I can't be doing this all the time ;) But I thought I would throw together this little giveaway in honor of my birthday on March 4! The theme for the giveaway is Princess! You could win Sally Hansen Princess Cut, Sally Hansen Glass Slipper, and Sinful Colors Cinderella! Don't they fit together perfectly! I also came across the much talked about Sinful Colors Green Ocean and decided to throw one in too! Not Princess but still fun!

This giveaway is only open for a week and only has one winner. It ends March 5 (the day after my birthday). It is open to all who would love to enter (international included!), you don't need to be a follower! Aren't I nice! :) This is my birthday present to you! Because who doesn't want to be a Princess! :)

Also thank you for all who commented and viewed my Peacock Nails from Sunday! I have over 2,800 page views and around 500 repins on pinterest! Thank you so much! It made my day!

Nail Envy Week 2

So here is a picture of week 2 for Nail Envy. To tell you the truth, this is only my second time actually applying it! The first time was for the photo before on February 18th. I haven't changed my mani that often since then. This picture was taken on the 25th, so exactly a week after the first one. There isn't much growth difference. But man oh man let me tell you, my nails did not peel off. Usually it isn't my polish that chips off, it's my nails that are peeling and then that peels off my polish and I need to change my mani. I didn't have to do it this time! I did have one small break on my right hand (phew) but that was due to it being weak from peeling. I am loving this more than Seche Rebuild right now!

Here is week one again. Sorry for the redness of my skin. Have any of you tried Nail Envy or Seche Rebuild?

Adventures in Stamping Week 7: 3 Colors

This week for Adventure in Stamping we had to use no less than 3 colors and no more than 3 colors. And I LOVE how mine turned out! The base is OPI Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI (one coat) and a coat of SV. I then used Chez-Delaney H6 plate using Kleancolor Metallic Green and Metallic Aqua. I can't stop staring at my nails! They are gorgeous, if I don't say so myself! ;)

First time my stamping has ever turned out as good or better than planned! Yippee!!! :)

Here is Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI (from the Holland collection) by itself and one coat with Seche Vite. It has a red shimmer to it, but it is hard to capture! You can see if faintly on the nail and a bit on in the bottle. But it is gorgeous in the sun, but my camera couldn't capture it.

Nail Mail and Haul!

Look what I got! The plates I ordered from Amazon and are known as the Cheeky Plates. There are 26 plates with stamper and scraper for $17.99 (I have prime so shipping is free). I've heard good things about these plates and they keep selling out!

I also went to Claire's and Icing this past weekend. I bought the DL Candy Shop dupe, geniusly called Candy Shop (it's the pink one in the middle) and I got Night Sky (awesome looking holo glitter polish!). At Icing I got Lemme See Your Peacock (that's it's name I promise!). It is a teal/green/pink glitter with a clear base.

Here they are with flash to try and show you the colors more. I can't wait to try them out!

Haulage!

So last week Walgreens had their Sinful Colors on sale for 99 cents! Woot! So these are the ones I bought! (l-r) Soul Mate, Kissy, Rise and Shine, Mint Apple, Savage, Nail Junkie, and Amethyst.
Amethyst is off on it's own because I bought it on a different day after seeing Jackie at MeMa's Mani's use it. It is gorgeous!

When I bought the cashier asked why I was getting polishes all the same color. Um, hello! They are not the same color at all! :)

Now for some sun shots of the bottles! (Didn't do Soul Mate as it's color was captured well in the first picture)

Here is Kissy and Nail Junkie. Kissy seems to be more of a glass-flecked shimmery duochrome (green blue) while Nail Junkie is green/gold/blue/teal glitter with teal base. Pretty!

See, totally different colors! This is Mint Apple, Rise and Shine, and Savage. Mint Apple has a sort of silver sheen to it. Rise and Shine is actually darker in the bottle than it shows here. And Savage is a very good Perry the Platypus color

Amethyst is a bit darker IRL. I'm going to have to do a comparison with it and OPI Funky Dunkey.

Last week I also bought some more Pure Ice because I saw Caitlin's post on them: Pure Ice Comparison amazing! You need to go check it out! Gorgeous!

So I got Really Rio (thinking it was the Rio she used, it's not), Tease, Busted.

Sun shot! I can't wait to use them! Fun times!
